Just another WordPress weblog
New theme

Last month was very hectic and not any good. I’m glad it’s over but I don’t really feel too optimistic about May at the moment.
I picked out a new theme for the blog. I chose another simple look again but I like it. Maybe next time I’ll pick something a bit more colorful? Why is it so hard to find WordPress themes? I’m probably not looking for them at the right place.
I revamped my fanlisting collective, Victorix. The previous layout lasted for a year so I figured it would be time for a new look. I’m happy with how it turned out. I finally stopped using the same style I kept using for the last few layouts. I also finally got around to making the ‘current fanlistings’ section cleaner and nicer looking. It was a fun revamp to work on overall.
The manga/anime series Soul Eater is featured on the new layout. If you’re not familiar with the series, I really recommend it. It’s a nice, fun series about students known as meisters/technicians and weapons (a weapon has both a weapon and a human form). The goal for the meisters with their weapons is to train the weapons by eating 99 human souls and one witch soul so it can become a death scythe that shinigami can use. The anime is part of the new anime season and it itself is worth checking out for the great animation.
My Padres are glad to be done with April too, I think. They’ve done so poorly and it’s so disappointing to watch the bullpen struggle, a bullpen that’s always been their strongest asset in the past years. It’s a new month though, so hopefully they can bring down their awful ERA. Last night’s game, however, was not a great way to start with the bullpen again giving up a late run to break the tie. The offense also needs to wake up so they can take the pressure off the pitching.

Upgrade, upgrade

I’m kind of liking this new interface. It’s fresher or something.
Baseball started this week (well for the rest of the league) and I’m excited. I’m always excited about baseball returning. Peavy was awesome on opening day. Both pitching and hitting! They lost last night but, hey, offense I see you.
I finally caught up with Bleach again. The Hueco Mundo and Vaizard arcs didn’t interest me as much as the Soul Society arc. Now we finally get backstory and the plot is moving forward. So awesome to see Urahara and Ukitake again. It’s also nice to see the connection between the vaizards and Soul Society. I won’t spoil for those who haven’t read the latest chapter. But if you’re like me and were waiting for the place to jump back in? Now is good.
Latest bit of news: A new layout finally for Reiraku.Net (in February, actually)! It’s Amaterasu of Okami. I have the PS2 game and it’s absolutely beautiful and so much fun. It’s going to be out on the Wii later this month, so I highly recommend it. I can definitely see how Okami would be great on the Wii with the Wiimote for the Celestrial Brush.

Well, that took forever to load. Every page would upload except for the one I actually needed to make a new post. My other sites have been having the same problem: the layouts and other graphics take too long to load. It was as if I was back on dialup again. If the problem continues then I’ll submit a ticket.
Super Bowl. How about them apples! Hah Patriots! I didn’t like either team but I’ll take the lesser of two evils here. Perfection is dunzo. Good last few minutes by the Giants. I didn’t catch the ads. It’s weird. I’ve always had this problem. The one that I did catch was the one with all the lizards dancing to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller.” I liked that one.
My weekend was pretty uneventful. My brother and I have been playing two mmorpgs to keep us entertained.

Refresh

I haven’t updated or upgraded in so long that I thought it would be better to actually just start fresh again. I’m planning to update more regularly, so you’ll find lots odds and ends that caught my attention or something.
